Beckum Returning To Wisconsin

POSTED: 6:37 pm EST December 20, 2007

(Sports Network) - Wisconsin tight end Travis Beckum will return to the Badgers program for his senior season.

Beckum has 73 catches for 960 yards and six touchdowns this season for the 9-3 Badgers, who will be playing Tennessee in the Outback Bowl on January 1.

"I looked into my options and found the best one is right here with this university," said Beckum. "I'm enjoying being a Badger and can't wait for our bowl game in Tampa, as well as for next season. I'm glad this decision is behind me and I'm looking forward to another year at Camp Randall."

A 2007 first-team All-American, Beckum was also a finalist for the 2007 John Mackey Award, given annually to the nation's top tight end. For his career, Beckum has 134 receptions for 1,863 yards and 11 touchdowns.
