9 School Tools: Postal Collection Day

Updated:

On Saturday, August 19th, you can help support local students by leaving a school supply donation at your mailbox.

Through the generous support of the United States Postal Service, on August 19th, you can leave donated supplies at your mailbox.  The school supplies will be distributed to local students in need in the county the supplies were donated.

How can I participate?

To donate, place a bag of school supplies next to your mailbox before your letter carrier delivers mail on August 19th.  The postal carrier will do the rest. If your area is part of the U.S. Postal collection day on August 19th, download one of our 9 School Tools postal collection flyers to post in your area.

Additional details:

All school supplies will be taken to the local school district, sorted, and delivered to area schools and local students. Any school supplies raised in the collecting county will benefit the children of that county. If it rains, please double bag using trash bags and leave a note to your carrier so donations are not missed.

Also, please leave supplies in a dry place like inside a porch.
