Report: Star Jones Files For Divorce

'Entertainment Tonight' Says TV Host Filed Papers In March

Television host Star Jones has filed for divorce from Al Reynolds, her husband of three and a half years, according to "Entertainment Tonight."

According to the show's Web site, the former co-host of "The View" and TruTV personality filed divorce papers March 26.

"Entertainment Tonight" said that the case, Starlet M. Jones vs. Al S. Reynolds, was marked as an "Uncontested Matrimonial" case by the court. The show said the records of the case have been sealed.

Jones stirred up controversy in 2004 when she discussed her lavish nuptials and the wedding's sponsors at length on "The View."

In a statement released to "Entertainment Tonight," Jones broke the news of the divorce and said that she "made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life."

"A month ago I filed for divorce. The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone's life that requires privacy with one's thoughts," Jones said in the statement. "I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman."

Jones, 46, married Reynolds, 39, in a massive ceremony in New York City on Nov. 13, 2004.
