This course will address the meaning of and interrelationship among inflation, unemployment, economic growth, trade deficit/surplus, fiscal and monetary policy, and more. Each of the foregoing as well as other economic factors are heavily influenced by globalization and will be discussed. In addition, the role and relevance of the U.S. central bank (the Federal Reserve) and central banks in general will be discussed.
