This course will summarize the current state of the federal estate, gift, and GST tax laws, while also providing a basic overview of the estate planning options available to both low and high net worth individuals. The course will focus on the estate planning issues in business succession planning that frequently affect small businesses. In addition, the accountant's role in administering a client's estate planning, both before and after death, will be reviewed.
