Just in time for Advent, all women are invited to join us for an evening Reflection/Retreat.  Fr. Timothy Reid, Pastor of St. Ann Catholic Church, will be our guest speaker.  Please join us at St. Ann's regularly scheduled Holy Hour (5:00 - 6:00 pm) and Mass (6:00 pm).  Afterward, we  will share a light supper in the Allen Center at 7:00 pm (details to follow), with the Reflection talk to follow shortly thereafter.  We are pleased to be able to offer this evening event and are very grateful to Fr. Reid and St. Ann Catholic Church for making it possible.  Fr. Timothy Reid, a convert to the Catholic Faith, earned his B.S. in Marketing from Indiana University, but later changed his focus to pursue the study of Philosophy at the Catholic University of America. After attaining his M.A. in Philosophy in 1997, he took a job with the U.S.C.C.B. as a Field Support Coordinator working in the Migration and Refugee Services Department.Following his Theology studies at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception, earning an M.A. and M.Div., Fr. Reid was ordained in 2004. His first assignment was as Parochial Vicar of St. Mark Catholic Church and later went to St. Matthew Catholic Church. In 2007 he was made Pastor of St. Ann Catholic Church, where he oversaw the dramatic renovation of the church. The new structure was dedicated on December 5, 2009, by Bishop Jugis. Fr. Reid also serves as the Spiritual Director of for the Secular Carmelite group in Charlotte.  CCWG Reflections - History:Since its inception the spiritual and social epicenter of the Charlotte Catholic Women’s Group has been its monthly Reflections. We hope to make future evenings such as this one available to our members and guests.Reflection mornings begin with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at 9:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Coffee and refreshments follow at 10:00 in the Activity Center where members gather to greet each other and where much information on the ongoing activities and events of the CCWG is available. The highlight of the morning, however, is the Reflection talk. We are blessed and privileged to have the support of the priests of the Diocese of Charlotte who offer each month for us a relevant Reflection on our faith and lives. It is through the generous and faithful preaching and teaching of our ministering priests that the CCWG best fulfills its mission “to foster in women a greater desire to know, love and serve Jesus Christ and His Church.” Confessions are also available at this time.
