This event, “Rockin’ in a Winter Wonderland,” will be a unique collaboration of pop, country and rock music, dance, and other special surprises, and will benefit the Rock School Scholarship Fund (rockschoolfund.org) which provides instruments and rock school tuition to students ages 7 to 17 who could otherwise not afford to participate in a music program.  “We have taken rock school performances to the next level in 2012, with the introduction of dancers and actors, and are very excited for what’s in store for our audience at this next performance,” says Streetwise Music instruction’s owner, Karl Mokal. “We’ve received glowing praise from our ROCK SHOP bands, their parents, and others in attendance at our shows, for finding ways to keep the audience engaged throughout the performance. We are very excited to play at the McGlohon Theater again and to continue to show Charlotte what rock schools should be all about!” Streetwise Music has been Charlotte’s leader in private music instruction since 2001 and specializes in guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, drums and vocals.
