Davidson College invites the public on Monday, December 3, to the annual Reynolds Lecture delivered by New York Times columnist and Pulitzer Prize winner Nicholas Kristof. Kristof will speak about Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity Worldwide, the book and movement he founded with his journalist spouse Sheryl WuDunn. Half the Sky brings together video, websites, school curricula, blogs and other educational tools to raise awareness of women's issues, and to provide concrete steps to empower women. A question-and-answer session and book signing will follow the lecture, which begins at 7:30 p.m. in Duke Family Performance Hall. Tickets are free and available at the College Union Ticket Office from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Tickets are also available by phone at 704-894-2135 or online at www.davidson.edu/tickets for a handling fee.
