We will get you on your cooking feet, teaching you how to use knives skillfully, safely, and efficiently and the proper way to sharpen and care for your knives. You will practice proper techniques and timesaving skills for slicing, dicing, and chopping and in the process, prepare a lovely meal. You will also learn the basics of sautéing and making a pan sauce, vinaigrette, and chicken stock. Your mother would be so proud! Students are requested to please bring a chef’s knife to class, but a knife is not required.
