Recently rebranded, Greater Charlotte Biz magazine is a business-to-business magazine that reaches over 125,000 business decision-makers each month. In 14 years, he has published 160 issues and over 850 business profiles in the Charlotte region. In his talk, “Remaining Relevant through Remarkable Times,” John shares his insights into the research, discovery and implementation of a rebranding initiative. Background. As president of NSBA in Washington, DC, Galles lobbied Congress, the White House and federal agencies on behalf of small business for more than ten year. Prior to starting the magazine, Galles was appointed by President Clinton to the Defense Department and worked at the Pentagon for nearly three years as a Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Reserve Affairs promoting Employer Support of the National Guard and Reserves. .
