Respect Da Mic Poetry Slam wants you to feel the love of Black history through poetry ... We are kicking off this Black History Month special edition because Black history doesn’t exist for one month, but everyday, 365 days. At noon, come join our writing workshop, then at 1pm support our "Spit Dat" open mic followed by our BH365 $lam!! Come witness or participate against poets for three minutes and ten seconds through three rounds of poetic mayhem with judges, $365 cash prizes and your host is Quill! Poets must pre-register, there will be no sign-up day of the event. 1st place -$200 2nd place -$75 3rd place -$50 4th place -$40 Register and submit fee $15 by February 7 at http://blkhistory365slam.eventbrite.com/ This is a poetry slam...and if you've never encountered slam, come let the words take you over! It's about the history... it's about the poetry... It's about the love of poetry and it's only $7 to attend if you pay online; otherwise it's $10 at the door.
