Payton’s Place announces First Annual Child Abuse Walk

Charlotte, NC- Payton’s Place Child Abuse Advocacy Center is pleased to announce the First Annual Child Abuse Walk set for April 20, 2013 at Freedom Park, 1900 East Boulevard Charlotte, NC 28203. Check in is 7am and the walk starts at 8:30am. Event day registration fees are as follows: 5K Run-$30, 3K Walk-$25, 1 Mile Family Fun Route- $25. Registration tents will be located and clearly identified at the park entrance. The Payton’s Place Child Abuse Prevention Walk/Run will be held rain or shine. Registration fees and donations are non-refundable and non-transferable. All proceeds from this event will go to support existing programs and towards our free standing facility.
About Payton’s Place
Payton’s Place is a non-profit 501(c)(3) who provides organizations with volunteers working with children (i.e. sports teams, youth summer camps, field trip chaperons, vacation bible schools, etc.) free background screenings including a sexual offense registry. We also support prevention and awareness programs for bullying (including cyber), sexual and physical abuse. Payton’s place also offers an extracurricular scholarship program eligible for victims and their siblings. We support everything from arts to athletics.
