SCOUT ROUTE Scavenger Hunt Presented by SportsLinkStart Location: All American Pub Sat, April 6th Registration: 9am 10am Race StartWork in teams of two to conquer challenges, figure out clues and get through 8 to 12 checkpoints as you race against the clock to finish in this scavenger hunt through Charlotte neighborhoods!You and your partner head out of home base with objective: to get 100 points stamped on your Scout Route Passport and back to base before an other team does!  To earn points, you have to walk, jog or skip to various checkpoints throughout the city (eight to ten).  At each checkpoint, you will have the opportunity to earn points by performing tasks.  These are normally pretty fun/different stuff (perhaps shooting zombies with  nurf guns; having your partner help you put a puzzle together blindfolded, reciting as many capital cities as you can in less than 90 seconds, and so forth).  Depending on how well your team performs, you'll get points (5-20).  Once you have 100 points in your passport, you book it back to home base!  Fastest time into home base wins!Cost: $50 coed team (single gender teams may play, but only coed team can take top prize) Packet Pickup You can pick up your packet (bib, goodies AND COURSE MAP) a day early at a TBD location on Friday, April 5th between 5pm - 8pm. We'll also give you insider information on one of the challenges!  Don't forget to check our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/SportsLinkUS) daily for some additional clues!Race Day Info For those who can't make the packet pick-up, we will open registration at 9am at race start location.   If you couldn't make packet pick-up on Friday, this is the earliest you can get your map to start planning your route.Points Without Challenges  You can get extra points without even doing any challenges!  How?   Dressing up - Up to 3 points will be awarded to teams that dress up for the race.   Our independent judges will decide how many points your team will get, so think creatively!  Donate to Charity - Up to 5 points: 1 point will be given per $10 donation with a 5 point maximum per team (so 5 points for $50), but you're more than welcome to donate as much as you'd like.  (specific charity is TBD) This is tax deductable (you'll get a receipt) and for a good cause!  Cash or checks made out to the charity will be accepted. Prizes Top Coed Team will win a trip to the National Sports and Social Cruise!  (date and destination are TBD) Top Male and Female Teams will receive prizes!Nits and Nats You will be sent more emails regarding Scout Route information as it gets closer to the event.   Please wear appropriate clothing such as running shoes, bring sunblock and most of all, be prepared to possibly get wet and/or dirty.Questions?  Email us: office@sportslinkus.com Visit EventBrite.com for pricing.
