You’ve heard it over and over. To be a good caregiver, you have to learn how to take care of yourself. But how can you in the midst of everything else you're supposed to do?
Larry Dawalt of Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region will share coping skills that help caregivers acknowledge the tremendous task of caregiving while also exploring ways to renew energy and strength and maintain good boundaries.
The free program at The Ivey memory care day center takes place on Tuesday, March 12. Choose one of two sessions: 2 pm - 4 pm or 6 pm - 8 pm. The Ivey is located at 6030 Park South Drive in Charlotte.
Admission is free but pre-registration is requested. To pre-register, call The Ivey at 704-909-2070. For caregivers, care is available for loved ones during the presentation with advance notice.
