The Civic & Cultural Arts Center of Pineville invites the public to “Beyond the Curve: Celebrating Women’s Vision,” an art exhibit featuring works of 15 regional female artists. The intent of this particular art show is to elevate awareness and celebrate the creativity of female artists. The show begins with an opening reception March 22, 2013 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the Main Gallery located at 316 Main Street in Pineville, NC and continues through April 26, 2013. Admission is free. Delectable eats provided by Sweet Tea’s Restaurant & Catering with live music by jazz vocalist Tenya Colemon on opening night. Come Explore Your Potential! Featured artists include: Rosalia Torres-Weiner, painting/mixed media sculpture Teresa Overcash Hollmeyer, mosaics Ruth Ava Lyons, painting Harriet Marshall Goode, painting MyLoan Dinh, painting Jessica Gordon, painting Tina Alberni, drawings Kathy Manzella, mosaics Lambeth Marshall, pottery Laura-Fox Wallis, pottery Denise Torrance, silk painting, mosaics, glass painting Beverly Y. Smith, quilts Terry Thirion, painting Barbara J. Ellis, painting The Civic and Cultural Arts Center (CCAC), in South Mecklenburg County, is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, volunteer based, civic organization which exists to provide access to the arts for all individuals regardless of experience, age, ethnicity or gender.
