Special Requirements: Volunteers are asked to contribute nine pieces of one of the following items which will be put together and given to each of the nine men who serve the Huntersville area: Chips, Granola Bar, Chocolate Candy, Hand Sanitizer, Travel Cup, Lunch Bag, Socks, Beef Jerky, and Chap stick.
Detailed Description of Event: Once the Volunteer Rally concludes, our volunteers will gather their goodies together to create nine gift baskets to give our Huntersville trash collectors. Each volunteer will also be asked to write a hand written “Thank You” note provided by What If Everyone to put in each basket. Two volunteers will be needed to deliver the baskets on Tuesday, April 16 between 1-2pm. Rally: Everyone is invited and ENCOURAGED to attend our Volunteer Rally the morning of Saturday, April 13 which begins at 9:00am at Blythe Elementary School, located at the intersection of Hwy 115 and Hambright Road. Doors will open at 8:30am sharp. Please bring your tickets to check-in so that you may be entered into our raffles, then help yourself to some breakfast provided by Starbucks, and pick up your FREE Volunteer T-shirt and goodie bag. Our sponsors and partnering organizations will be set up at our "Participant Fair" between 9:00-11:00am for all volunteers to learn more about their organization and how they may be able to become a regular volunteer throughout the year, so please stay around before traveling to your project to meet these wonderful organizations.
