"Free Trade Europe"
A Moderated Panel Discussion
Moderator: Chris Williams, Managing Director Private Banking and Investments, Wells Fargo Advisors and Executive Producer of the Carolina Business Review.Panelists:
The panel will be led by NC Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker, British Consul General Jeremy Pilmore-Bedford and German Consul General Christoph Sander and joined by Tim House, Head of Solutions Consulting in Wells Fargo's International Trade Services.
The panel will discuss aspects of the Transatlantic Trade & Investment Partnership (T-TIP) and the impact it could have on trade between the United States and the European Union (and North Carolina in particular) if it is adopted. It is the consensus of EU and US officials leading the agreement negotiations that this free trade pact between the EU and US would ease the flow of goods between two of the world’s largest traders presently accounting for nearly a third of the world’s trade and close to half of the global economic output.
Join us on Thursday, September 19th for lunch at the Westin to learn more about T-TIP and the impact such an agreement could hold for a successful global economic future.
