Are you a small business owner or an entrepreneur interested in starting a new business? Interested in hearing what lenders look for in a business plan? Want to win $10,000 in Charlotte Observer advertising?
You are invited to "Financing Your Great Idea," a breakfast event on Tuesday, Sept. 17, where you'll hear lenders share their tips for small businesses on how to put together a successful funding proposal -- whether it's to expand an existing business or start a new one.
The event is sponsored by the ShopTalk, the Charlotte Observer's weekly section and website for small businesses and entrepreneurs, and by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.
Speakers are: Bob Marshall, Business Banking Manager, Wells Fargo; Dan Gotte, Director of Inception Micro Angel Fund-Charlotte; John Hipp, CEO of New Dominion Bank; and Bill Gibson, Small Business Banking Manager for Bank of America.
Registration is $10. Attendees will be entered into a door prize to win $10,000 worth of print and online advertising from the Charlotte Observer.
ShopTalk Editor Celeste Smith will moderate. The event runs 7-9 a.m. in the Observer's auditorium, located on the third floor of the Observer building at South Tryon and Stonewall streets. Free parking is available in the Observer's lot located on Church Street between Stonewall and Tryon.
