It’s been a tough year for Florida players to stay out of trouble, and WR Demarcus Robinson is the latest problematic Gator.
UF announced today that coach Will Muschamp suspended Robinson for this afternoon’s home game against Tennessee (3:30 p.m., CBS) due to a violation of team rules. He is the sixth player known to be suspended this season.
Robinson, a freshman, played in each of the first two games but did not record a catch.
Florida previously suspended WR Latroy Pittman, a sophomore, for the first three games of the season. He can return next week against Kentucky.
The Gators also suspended MLB Antonio Morrison, OL Quinteze Williams, DT Damien Jacobs and CB Loucheiz Purifoy for the season opener vs. Toledo.
Muschamp initially suspended Morrison for the first two games, but later reduced it to one.
