By James Brady
Good morning folks. So yesterday, the San Francisco 49ers traded for cornerback Eric Wright. I have my own reservations with the move solely due to his multiple DUIs but I trust that the 49ers believe they can set him right because at face value, this definitely seems an uncharacteristic move.
Then again, Wright fits into the cornerback picture very well. With Carlos Rogers, Tarell Brown, Chris Culiver and Nnamdi Asomugha already vying for starting jobs, I think Wright is good enough to earn one of the top two. So I guess that's me predicting that Wright and Brown will be San Francisco's starting corners next season.
I do have to admit, I've been really hard on Brown in the past. And by "in the past" I mean "a couple weeks ago." I went back and watched a lot of 49ers stuff recently and focused on Brown and I'm ready to admit that I was letting my past biases get in the way. I think he's got the right cornerback spot locked down.
Onto the links.
