It was a wonder of aerospace engineering, a supersonic plane that could slash the flight time between New York and London from eight hours to three and a half. But 10 years ago, the Concorde flew its last flights, eventually landing in museums like the Smithsonian. Many average travelers didn't have a chance to go down the gangway to board the flight, considering the price of the ticket usually reserved the trip for the rich, but now you can have a glimpse at the luxury that was the Concorde.

  • Leap the Dips in the small town of Altoona, Pennsylvania has the honor and distinction of being the oldest roller coaster that's still operating. The Lakemont Park wooden coaster was built in 1902. It's only 41 feet tall and goes about 10 miles an hour.
  • Kingda Ka is the tops of a couple of categories. The Six Flags Great Adventure coaster in New Jersey is the fastest at 128 miles an hour, the highest at 456 feet and has the longest drop at 418 feet.
  • At 7,359 feet, Beast at Kings Island in Kings Mills, Ohio, is the longest coaster in the US.
  • Bizarro at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey ties for the number one coaster with the most inversions with riders going upside down seven times.
  • Hydra the Revenge is tied for first for the most inversions with seven. Hydra is at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
  • The mean green machine, Incredible Hulk, ties the inversion list with seven. It's at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida.
  • The Kraken is also tied for the highest number of inversions at seven. If you go to Sea World Orlando, you can try to keep your lunch and wits about you after riding the Kraken.
  • Medusa has as many inversions as the mythical creature had snakes. But with a count seven, the Six Flags Discovery Kingdom coaster in Vallejo, California ranks up there with eight other coasters.
  • Busch Gardens in Tampa has one of the coasters with the most inversions with Montu.
  • Scream! isn't only the name of the ride, but it's what you do when you go upside down seven times. To Scream!, you'll have to visit Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California.
  • The Viper has a bite of seven inversions. Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California, is home to not only the Scream! but also Viper.
