Fred Story

Fred Story is owner and President of Concentrix Music and Sound Design in Charlotte, North Carolina.

As a composer, he has written music for numerous film and TV projects, and for a variety of advertising and corporate clients. His work has earned three Emmy Awards, three Telly awards, and numerous Addy and Silver Microphone awards.

Fred was also keyboardist and co-founder of the popular contemporary jazz group Flight 108, which performed and recorded for thirteen years. In addition to appearing at jazz festivals throughout the southeast, the group performed with acts like Ray Charles, John Scofield, Herbie Mann, Earl Klugh, David Sanborn, and Kenny G. Guest artists on their recordings include saxophonist Bill Evans, flutist Dave Valentin and percussionist Jim Brock.

Although he no longer performs, Fred has never been more actively involved with music. As he says, "Any day I can write music is a good day…and I get to do it for a living almost every day. What could be better?"
