  SURVEY
Who will win the 'Game of the Year' on Friday night - Butler or Independence and by how much?

Our 'Big Game' this week was a no-brainer with the undefeated Butler Bulldogs traveling to the undefeated Independence Patriots on Friday night to square off for the Southwestern 4A conference title.

This game features the two top teams in the state of North Carolina (Butler No.1 and Independence No.2) and both teams are ranked nationally.

Butler will try to be the first team to defeat a Tom Knotts led Independence team twice as the Bulldogs defeated the Patriots 21-20 in 2007.

Interestingly enough, Tom Knotts was not on the sidelines during that game in 2007 as he was serving a one-game suspension after an incident with a parent the day prior to the game.

Independence is 146-5 since Knotts took over the program in 2000.

Both teams are led by their talented and experienced quarterbacks -- Butler led by junior Christian LeMay and Indy by senior Anthony Carrothers.
