Whitewater Center to celebrate Fourth of July with races, rapids, rockets

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Looking for something fun to do for Fourth of July? Head to the U.S. National Whitewater Center’s two-day holiday celebration, July 3-4.

The festival will feature live music, yoga sessions, fireworks and a Battle Royale standup paddleboard competition.

Performers include Los Colognes and Rayland Baxter on Wednesday and Smooth Hound Smith and North Mississippi Allstars on Thursday.

The event is free to attend, and tickets are not required. Registration is required to enter the Battle Royale.

Parking cost $6.
