Davidson's Curry Says NBA Can Wait

Wildcats Star Says He's Not Ready To Jump To NBA

Davidson star Stephen Curry said that Sunday's loss to Kansas will likely not be his last game with the Wildcats, ESPN reported.

With growing speculation over whether the shooting star would leave Davidson early and enter the NBA, the sophomore guard said he's "definitely coming back" to the Wildcats next season, according to ESPN.

Curry, the son for former NBA player Del Curry, averaged 25.9 points for Davidson this season. But he gained national attention during the team's Cinderella run in the NCAA tournament. Curry scored 40 points against Gonzaga in the first round, then recorded 30 points in an upset over Georgetown before lighting up Wisconsin for 33 points in the Sweet 16. He closed out his tournament with 25 points in an Elite Eight loss to Kansas.

His performances earned him the honor of Most Outstanding Player in the Midwest Region.

But despite his efforts and his ability to hit from the NBA three-point range, Curry said he doesn't think he's ready to make the jump to the professional ranks.
