As KHBS-TV reported, a number of Fort Smith residents have hired professional lighting services to help them with holiday decorations. Several professional lighting designers were already at work Monday -- more than one week before Thanksgiving.

Raymond Harvey owns "Bright Ideas." He said his business is a light-hanging company that caters to people who simply aren't interested in making a trek up the ladder themselves.

"We do the whole home at once or we can do it in phases," Harvey said. "We have (more than) 40 displays. We are fully insured and trained to do this."

Harvey said he and his staff have started early on several projects. He said the each project costs an average of about $1,000.
