Wednesday, May 21, 2008

(Sports Network) - Toronto Raptors guard Anthony Parker and forward Andrea Bargnani underwent surgery on Wednesday.

Parker had his procedure, to repair an extensor tendon on the middle finger of his right hand, done at Toronto Western Hospital. He is expected to be in a cast for three weeks before he can start his rehabilitation.

The 32-year-old finished the season with averages of 12.5 points and 4.1 rebounds in 82 games.

Bargnani opted for the overseas route, going to Milan, Italy for a procedure which removed his adenoids and repaired a deviated septum. He is slated to have two weeks without activity before resuming off-season workouts.

Heading into his third NBA season, the 22-year-old posted 10.2 points and 3.7 rebounds over 78 contests (53 starts) in 2007-2008.
