Monday, July 21, 2008
Boston, MA -- (Sports Network) - The Boston Celtics have reportedly re-signed two pieces of their championship team, agreeing to terms with guards Eddie House and Tony Allen on two-year contracts.According to the Boston Herald, both contracts are for close to $2.5 million. In House's case, the money is roughly half of Boston's $5.585 mid-level exception while Allen's contract will not interfere with the exception money due to his four-year tenure with the club. Both House and Allen played important roles off the bench last season, helping the Celtics capture their 17th NBA title. Allen averaged 6.6 points and 2.2 rebounds per game while House posted averages of 7.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per game.
