Syrah

Syrah is the variety of red grape used to make several famous Rhone wines and blends.

The grape is thick-skinned and has a high tannic content which adds to structure and ageability.

Flavor: Wine is powerful, full-bodied, fleshy, balanced and dry.

Aroma: Depending on where the grapes are grown, when they are planted and how long the wine is aged, Syrah can carry the aromas of; black berries, espresso, leather, truffles, chocolate, violets and roses.
