Cornelius Police Find Car Involved In Hit And Run

CORNELIUS, N.C. -- On Sunday afternoon, police found the car involved in a fatal hit and run that happened early Sunday morning. The car was found at the Camden-Sedgebrook apartment complex on Sam Furr Road.Early Sunday morning police got a call about a pedestrian struck at Catawba Avenue and Silver Quay Drive in Cornelius. When police arrived at the scene they found a man on the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene.Eyewitness News spoke with one of the victim's friends. They told us that a lot of them were in town and had just graduated from college. They were coming home from a bar when the accident happened.Police are still on the lookout for the suspect.
