Man Killed In Gaston County Industrial Accident

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. -- Police say a man was crushed to death early Thursday by a piece of machinery at his job.The accident happened just before 6 a.m. at the Porter’s Fabrications plant on Oates Road in Gaston County.Investigators say the man was cleaning under the machine when a piece of it fell on him, killing him.The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is looking into the accident.
