Security Guard Banned From CPCC Campus

Tuesday, October 30, 2007 – updated: 10:56 pm EDT October 30, 2007

A security guard is now banned from the college he was assigned to protect.

Central Piedmont Community College officials say Vonmichael Marbley patrolled the North campus just one day. During that single shift, they say he threatened a student. They won't give details.

Police arrested him. School officials hung posters around all six CPCCs campuses warning students and teachers to call security if they see him.

"Police have assured us that they feel like the issue has been resolved, but, the communication with the posters... Is a precautionary measure," said CPCC Spokesperson Jerri Haigler.

Eyewitness News learned Marbley went by at least one other name, Michael Love. He was arrested under that name in 2005 and charged with assaulting a female and communicating threats.
