Pedestrian Hit, Killed By Train In Salisbury

Police said a Norfolk Southern freight train struck and killed a man walking on the railroad tracks early Sunday morning.

Investigators said the victims was a Hispanic male in his mid-20s. He was walking along the railroad tracks near Klumac Road and South Main Street in Salisbury around 2:30 a.m.

Police said alcohol appears to be a factor in the case. The victim's identification has been withheld at this time.
