CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- You may never know why two West Charlotte High School football coaches resigned.CMS superintendent Peter Gorman told Channel 9 Eyewitness News he was thinking about asking school board's permission to make the coaches' records public. Now, he says he will not pursue it.Gorman said, "We're done now. We're moving ahead. And, at this point in time, I don't intend to ask the board to release the information specifically related to individual persons."Some community members were hoping for answers. West Charlotte graduate Balius McLean said, "They put back the pride in West Charlotte, pride in the football team, and I think it was an unjust situation for them."Gorman says CMS wrapped up its West Charlotte investigation. Now, it's looking into Independence High. Gorman says that could take weeks.
