GASTON COUNTY, N.C. -- North Carolina State Troopers pulled over a sport utility vehicle speeding along Interstate 85, near Belmont; they say it closely resembled a law enforcement vehicle, but discovered the driver was not a police officer. It happened around noon on Saturday."The vehicle I stopped resembled closely an unmarked law enforcement vehicle with different lights and different types of surveillance equipment that is traditionally used by police," said state trooper J.J. Letcavage.Police charged and arrested Milan Krivsky for operating a vehicle that resembles a law enforcement vehicle and for possession of an operable open blue light. Both of the charges are felonies. But now, North Carolina State Trooopers are faced with multiple questions concerning the suspect.Krivsky said he is from the Czech Republic and is in this country legally. Investigators said his records state he is in good standing with the law. Immigration authorities have interviewed him and are trying to hold him until a Monday court appearance.Trooper Letcavage first became suspicious when Krivsky presented him with an international driver's license. Trooper Letcavage said those kind of driver licenses are hard to verify. That's when the trooper noticed the suspicious items in the SUV and received consent from Krivsky to search the car.Troopers also found items including, a laptop, duct tape, box cutters and gloves in the trunk of Krivsky's vehicle. Eyewitness News is working with The Gaston Gazette, to uncover more about this investigation. Troopers told The Gaston Gazette there were pornographic images on the laptop. That item has now been turned over to federal investigators.Krivsky also had a Missouri ID card and West Virginia license plate on his SUV. Troopers have put in calls to both of those states to try to learn more about Krivsky. Trooper Letcavage said so far, Missouri Police did want to question Krivsky, but after two days of trying to locate him, Krivsky left the state.Krivsky told troopers he has been staying at a hotel in Hickory and is trying to establish a residence in Hickory right now.Krivsky is being held at the Gaston County Jail on a $1,000 bond.
