Man Struck, Killed By Train In Concord

CONCORD, N.C. -- A man was struck and killed by a train in Concord on Tuesday afternoon.It happened behind 1251 Concord Parkway North near the Mayflower Hotel.The train’s engineer said he blew the whistle to warn the man, but he continued to walk on the tracks.Investigators said they believe the man may have been homeless. They are trying to determine why he did not get off the tracks.
