Body Identified As UNCC Student

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Gaston County authorities said they've identified the body found next to a car near the Catawba River on Monday.The young woman, Irinia Yarmolenko, was a University of North Carolina at Charlotte student.She just turned 20 years old Friday.The medical examiner has ordered an autopsy to determine how she died.Anyone with information about Yarmolenko is asked to call the Mount Holly Police Department at (704) 827-4343.RELATED STORY: Body Found Along Catawba River Bank
