North Carolina Changes Immunization Requirements

Your children might need more shots for school next year.

North Carolina has changed immunization requirements.

Rising 6th graders now need a booster shot called T-DAP. That is if they haven't had the booster in the past 5 years.

T-DAP protects against tetanus, diphtheria and whooping cough.

Students entering kindergarten next year are now required to have a second dose of mumps vaccine.

To help out Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools is offering free immunization clinics in elementary schools between May 27th and June 6th.
