POSTED: 11:55 am EDT May 12, 2008

More trains may soon be running on the LYNX line in south Charlotte.

On Monday night, the Charlotte City Council will consider spending $15 million to buy more light rail trains.

Ridership has been above the original estimates on the LYNX Blue Line.

In fact, 31,000 people rode the LYNX Blue Line on the Saturday of the CIAA basketball tournament in March.
