Deadly Accident Closes Part Of Major Charlotte Road

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A deadly accident closed one westbound lane of Sugar Creek Road Tuesday morning.

Police said it happened around 12:50 a.m. Only one vehicle was involved. Police said an SUV ran off the road and hit a utility pole. They believe the person might have fallen asleep.

Authorities said the power line could be down most of Tuesday morning.
