SHELBY, N.C. -- Shelby police are searching for a gunman who shot three people at an apartment complex Friday afternoon.

The shooting happened around 1:35 p.m. on Ramblewood Drive outside the Ramblewood Apartments near Shelby High School.

The school was put on lockdown for a short time.

The conditions of those injured are not known at this time, but police don’t believe their injuries are life-threatening. They are all being treated at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
