MOUNT HOLLY, N.C. -- Mount Holly police have released surveillance video showing a University of North Carolina at Charlotte student hours before she was killed.Irina Yarmolenko, 20, was last seen dropping off a carload of items at the Goodwill Store on Harris Houston Road in the University area. Surveillance tape shows her at 10:33 a.m. May 5 -- less than three hours before she was found dead of asphyxiation on the banks of the Catawba River in Mount Holly."We're hoping by releasing this that it will jog some folks’ memories that were in the area. They were at the Goodwill or on that street, maybe they saw something that will help us or further the investigation," said Mount Holly Police Department spokeswoman Leslie Shiel. From the video, it appears Yarmolenko was alone when she dropped off the items at Goodwill. She is then seen turning right onto Harris Houston Road toward University City Boulevard."Video, still images help jog memory -- it might be more effective sometimes than just a description so we're hoping this helps to help someone to remember something," Shiel said.Jet skiers spotted Yarmalenko's body next to her car, which was crashed into a stump.Anyone with information that could help police with the investigation are asked to call (704) 827-4343.RELATED STORY: UNC-Charlotte Offers Reward For Slain Student Case RELATED STORY: Many Questions Still Surround UNCC Student's Slaying RELATED STORY: Gaston County Investigators: UNCC Student Was Slain RELATED STORY: Body Identified As UNCC Student RELATED STORY: Body Found Along Catawba River Bank
