Police Warn Charlotte Neighbors About Police Impersonator

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is telling people to be on the look out for at least one police impersonator.CMPD officers said they received two reports Friday night from people who were robbed by people acting as police.The first case happened on Wisteria Drive in south Charlotte just before 10 p.m.. The second incident happened around 10:45 p.m. on Beatties Ford Road in northwest Charlotte.In both cases, the victims said they were pulled over by a black Chevy Trailblazer. Then, two men and woman got out of the car and came up to the cars. The victims told police, one of the men showed a badge and a gun, and then robbed them.Police told Eyewitness News they believe the two cases are connected.If you have any information regarding these incidents please call police.
