North Carolina state troopers found a surprise in a car after a high-speed chase early Tuesday morning.

Troopers said they found a 2-year-old girl.

They said Antoine Murphy led them on a chase, reaching 114 mph. It started on Interstate 77 in Charlotte just after midnight, and ended 5 miles away when Murphy crashed into an apartment on Starmount Cove Lane.

Troopers said Murphy ran away, and left the young girl in the car. Authorities have not released the girl’s identity, but told Eyewitness News she is fine.

Authorities ask anyone with information on Antoine Murphy’s whereabouts to contact the highway patrol.
