Mother Charged In Connection With Iredell County Teenager's Death

POSTED: 4:25 pm EDT May 21, 2008

A mother is in the Iredell County jail accused of buying and dealing the drugs that led to a teenager's death.

Victoria Brown, 42, is charged with purchasing drugs with the intent to sell and distribute them.

The charge comes several weeks after her teenage son, Josh Parlee, was charged with murder in the same case.

Troutman police said the pair purchased the oxymorphone that 15-year-old Michael Lane overdosed on and ultimately died from in January.

Brown is in jail under a $50,000 bond.
