CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Residents of a north Charlotte neighborhood are demanding a thorough investigation after an officer shot and killed a man while responding to a domestic disturbance call.Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said Officer David Jester shot Aaron Winchester twice in the back on Sylvania Street after Winchester pulled out a handgun while running. Winchester died shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday.Neighbor Anthony Graham said he’s haunted by what he saw.“I saw the young man lying down on the ground. It kind of hurt me,” he said.Jester, a 13-year veteran of the force, is on paid administrative leave while the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department investigates.Graham said he doesn’t care who conducts the investigation, as long as it is fair."Just as long as the truth comes out," Graham said. "I don't know exactly what the situation was between the officer and the young man who was shot."Neighbors also said they want CMPD officers to visit the Lockwood community to discuss the shooting.RELATED STORY: Identities Released In Fatal Police Shooting In Charlotte
