CONCORD, N.C. -- Mourners gathered at the Sun Drop Bottling Company on Friday evening for a candlelight vigil in memory of the two people killed there in an apparent robbery attempt one week ago.Family members of the victims said support from the community has been overwhelming."It's been rough going through this," said Seth Barnhardt. “It’s hard to lose your mother, especially through something so senseless.”His mother, Donna Barnhardt, was working in the front office of the company on Branchview Drive when someone shot and killed her and Darrell Noles, who was applying for a job. Police don’t have any suspects. That's why more than 20 officers set up a checkpoint in front of the Sun Drop building Friday morning. Officers stood outside handing out fliers at precisely the time when the shootings happened. Officers hope someone saw something but didn't realize its importance."Every lead is important and no piece of information do we want to leave out, so we're following up on everything we can find," said Concord Police Maj. Wendell Rummage.Seth Barnhardt didn't want to talk about the man who took his mother’s life. He would only say he hopes police figure out who it is and arrest him before someone else is killed.Rummage said Friday’s checkpoint was very productive. His officers delivered 1,000 fliers to those passing by. Rummage said they’ve gotten several substantial leads and investigators are following up on them right now.RELATED STORY: Officers Take To Streets Seeking Info In Double Shooting At Sun Drop Plant RELATED STORY: Longtime Worker, Job Applicant Killed At Charlotte-Area Soft Drink Plant RELATED STORY: Police Release Names Of 2 Killed At Beverage Bottling Company In Concord
