Deadly Shots Ring Out In Northeast Charlotte Neighborhood; Police Investigate

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A homicide investigation is underway after police say shots were fired in a northeast Charlotte neighborhood Friday night.Officers responded to a call about a shooting around 11 p.m. on Georgetown Drive.Two people were taken to Carolinas Medical Center with gunshot wounds. Calvin Thompson, 35, died shortly after he arrived at the hospital. Bobby Fluitt, 50, is still at CMC but is expected to be OK.Investigators say they were arguing before the shooting began. Police are interviewing witnesses to determine who fired the shots first. No on has been arrested.
