IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. -- Lightning struck a boat tied to several others at Lake Norman, in Iredell County, Saturday afternoon. No one was injured."We saw lightning hitting a lot of the lake," said Aaron Feldman, who witnessed the lightning strike outside his home. "It hit the boat and I saw some smoke come up from the boat."North Carolina wildlife officers said the storms likely deterred many boaters from enjoying the long, holiday weekend on the lake. "The rain put a damper on things," said North Carolina wildlife officer Kyle Voris.
