Police Identify Body Found In Southwest Charlotte Park

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were called to the scene of a death investigation in southwest Charlotte Sunday morning.Police said around 9 a.m. someone discovered a body near a trail that leads to a soccer field at Ramblewood Park, on Nations Ford Road. Investigators have not released many details about the suspect. Eyewitness News has learned the victim is 22 year old Michael Campbell. Police are still working to learn how or how long the body’s been at the park.Police cars blocked the entrance to the park as they continued their investigation. A soccer tournament scheduled at the park on Sunday was cancelled.Eyewitness News will continue to find out more details about this death investigation.
